Round 3 - KCR(1) needs 5 games to beat the upstart M's(13)

KC was able to squeak by the upstart Mariners to move to the Final Four.  Seattle liked its chances in Game Five, with game one winner Felix Hernandez on the mound against Yordano Ventura, who was banged around in the first game.

But Hernandez wasn't his dominant self, giving up three runs in the first. That was enough for Ventura, as the Royals held down the Mariners' hitters, capped by two great throws to the plate by Cain and Gordon to throw out Mariners attempting to score. Wade Davis again showed why he's the game's best closer by shutting down a hint of a Seattle rally in the ninth, as KC won the rubber game 4-1.
